CANDLEMAS:
Monday, 2nd February, is the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord and is Candlemas Day. Anyone who wishes to have candles blessed should leave them in the Sacristy before Mass.




PIONEER MASS:
In St. Patrick's Church on Tuesday 3rd February at 7.30pm. Followed by meeting in St. Michael's Parish Centre at 8pm.

MASS IN IRISH:
In St. Patrick's Church on Wednesday 4th February 2004 at 7.30pm.

FR. WATT:
Recently retired from the Parish. A number of parishioners have suggested making a presentation to him at a date in the future. Donations for a presentation may be left at the Repository, Parochial House or placed in an envelope and put into the collection bags on Sunday.

ST. MARY'S HIGH SCHOOL:
Invite Parents and P7 pupils to an Open night on Tuesday 3rd February in the School from 7pm - 9pm. The principals address will be at 7pm in the school gym.

CHANGE OF MASS TIMES IN PARISH:
The New Sunday Mass times are now in place. The new times are as follows:
St. Patrick's: 6.30pm, 9am, 10.00am, 12 Noon.
St. Colmcille's: 6.30pm & 11am
St. Brigid's: 6.30pm
St. Malachy's: 10.30am

DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
Will have St. Brigid's Crosses on sale in all Churches in the Parish this weekend. Minimum donation £1. Please support us.

BINGO IN PATRICIAN YOUTH CENTRE:
Is on every Friday Night at 9pm. The numbers attending the Bingo have been falling in recent years, so that at present it is running at a loss. In order to make sure that the Bingo can continue, we appeal to parishioners to support it. A bus has been organised to collect people and bring them to bingo, further details from Hilary Burns, Tel:44614147


9am MASS:
A bus will leave Ballymote Centre at 8.30am each Sunday morning starting from 1st February for 9am Mass in St. Patrick's Church. Cost £1. Further information available from "Vincents" Tel: 02844619144

TRIP TO KNOCK:

PRE-MARRIAGE COURSE:
A One Day Pre-Marriage Course will be held at Tobar Mhuire, Crossgar on Sunday 18th April 2004. Application forms are available from the Secretary at 02844830242.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES:
Are held in The Scout Hall, Thomas Russell Park, on Tuesday Nights from 5.15pm - 8.15pm. Anyone wishing to join the class should meet the teacher at the hall.

CROSSGAR PRAYER GROUP:

LEGION OF MARY:
The President of the Legion of Mary, cordially invites all past members and parishioners interested in learning about the work of the Legion to an informal meeting on Tuesday 10th February at 8pm in the room below St. Patrick's Church. The purpose of the meeting is also to explore the possibility of any past member renewing his or her active membership of the Legion of Mary. A short video of the formation and function of the Legion of Mary will be shown. Tea & Coffee will be served. Everyone Welcome.
