VINCENT'S CENTRE:
Senior Citizens Lunch Club re-opens on Tuesday 30th September at Vincent's, Ballymote Walk, Transport provided. Old and new members welcome. Contact Mary 02844619144

DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
Next meeting will take place in the room below St. Patrick's Church on Wednesday 1st October at 8pm. New members always welcome.

DIOCESAN FUND RAISING SCHEME:
There will be a meeting of volunteers who are willing to help with the scheme in St. Michael's Parish Centre on Wednesday 8th October at 8pm. We would especially like Link Parishioners to attend as it will coincide with the distribution of Offertory Envelopes in the Parish. It is very important that we have as many volunteers as possible.

LA SALLIAN PRAYER GROUP:
Meet each Thursday at 7.30pm in the Chapel of the De La Salle Brother's House, Stream Street, for one hour. During the hour there is Exposition, Recitation of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet, short readings and prayers are said for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The meeting concludes with Acts of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. New members are always welcome.

KILLOUGH ROAD CEMETERY:
There are areas at the Cemetery for the disposal of rubbish: the dump, the skip and behind the screen in the left hand corner of the Cemetery. Please place rubbish in one of these areas. DO NOT DUMP RUBBISH AT THE GATES OR IN ANY OTHER UNAUTHORISED AREA OF THE CEMETERY.

ACCORD PRE-MARRIAGE COURSES:
Accord are holding Pre-Marriage Courses on the following dates: Saturday,11th October, 22nd November, 6th December. Places are limited, it is advisable to book early.

FUNDRAISING EVENT: PATRICIAN YOUTH CENTRE PRESENTS "LEGENDS ON TOUR"
Brendan Bowyer, Larry Cunningham and special guests Sandy Kelly & Barbara Ellis in Concert on Friday 3rd October in the Abbey Lodge Hotel, Downpatrick. Hear all the great hit songs in an evening of pure nostalgia with live backing band. Tickets £15 are available from Hanlon's Music, The Abbey Lodge and The Patrician Youth Centre.

ST. COLMCILLE'S YOUTH CLUB BALLYVANGE:

ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK:
On Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th October. Bus will leave Downpatrick Bus Depot at 8am via Murphy's Shop, Killyleagh at 8.15am, Shrigley at 9.30am, Crossgar at 8.45am and Annacloy Crossroads at 9am. BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE:
A Team from the Blood Transfusion team will hold donation sessions at Down Parish Hall, Church Street, Downpatrick on Monday 6th October from 2.30pm - 4pm & 5.30pm - 8pm. In order to maintain our vital supply of blood to our hospitals, the Blood Transfusion Service need the support not only of existing donors but also new donors. Please come along it could save a life!

INTO THE DEEP:
A Mass for young people will be held in St. Malachy's Church, Alfred Street, Belfast on October 5th at 3pm. The main celebrant will be Bishop Donal McKeown. Music by the Down & Connor Folk Group with faith stories from several young people. Light refreshments available after. All Welcome.

THOMAS RUSSELL BI-CENTENARY COMMERATION:
Friday 3rd October: Lecture on Thomas Russell by Phillip Orr, 8pm. Admission Free.
Saturday 4th October: An Irish Night featuring the "Irish Brigade", 9.30pm Members £4, non-members £5.
Sunday 5th October: Wreath laying ceremony at the Russell grave in St. Margarets Churchyard at 2pm, oration by Francis Gallagher (local writer). Refreshments served in the Clubrooms afterwards, following this, at 4pm, a Play entitled "The Final Words Of Thomas Russell" will be performed in the Clubrooms. Admission free.
