ST. MARY'S HIGH SCHOOL ROMANIAN TRIP:
Pupils from St. Mary's High School will be going to Romania to help children in orphanages there. The pupils will take up a collection outside St. Patrick's Church today, Sunday 15th June at the 8, 10, 12 and 5pm Masses to help provide some basic necessities for the orphans.

At Killough Road on Sunday 29th June and at Struell Cemetery on Sunday, July 6th.
SAUL SUNDAY:
The Annual Pilgrimage to Saul will take place TODAY, Sunday 15th June at 4pm. Bishop Walsh will be the celebrant.
ST. JOSEPH'S YOUNG PRIESTS SOCIETY:
Mass at 7.30pm on Wednesday 18th June in St. Patrick's Church, followed by meeting in St. Michael's Parish Centre at 8pm.
KILLOUGH ROAD CEMETERY
The grass at the cemetery will be cut towards the end of next week. Anyone wishing to cover their graves should do so.
NOVENA TO THE SACRED HEART:
We are all invited to make this Novena privately in our own homes. We can use the Novena Prayers which will be printed on the back of the parish bulletin this weekend and onJune 22nd or any prayer of our choice. We will gather in St. Patrick's Church on Friday 27th June at 7.30pm (Feast of The Sacred Heart) when the priest will re-dedicate our families to the Sacred Heart.
2003 SPECIAL OLYMPICS WORLD SUMMER GAMES:
Mission Statement - " To provide in Ireland a unique and unparalleled sporting and cultural experience for the athletes taking part, from 160 international delegations all over the world, as well as their coaches, families, volunteers and sponsors, combining the excitement of sport with the opportunity for personal distinction, achievement and pride".
It is with the sentiment of this Mission Statement that we extend a warm welcome to the delegates, athletes and their families from the Nation of Malawi. We hope you enjoy your short stay with us and we wish you success in the games in Dublin. It is important to recognise that the Special Olympics occur during the European Year of People with Disabilities. This should highlight the responsibility that we all share in recognising and ensuring the rights of all people and that we accord each their dignities as daughters and sons of God. The team will be at St. Patrick's Visitors Centre on Tuesday 17th June at 12.30pm, we would invite parishioners to the Centre to meet the team. The Russell Gaelic Union would also like to welcome the Malawi Special Olympics Team. The team will be at the RGU on Wednesday 18th June for a special barbeque, the group will be joined by students from Knockevin Special School and Mountview Adult Resource Centre. The group will be traing at the RGU Grounds during the week prior to their move to Dublin to compete.

DOWNPATRICK THIRD WORLD GROUP:
Annual Barbeque will be held in Downpatrick Cricket Club on Saturday 21st June 2003 at 8.30pm, Music by "Stateline". Tickets £8.

DOWN ADVOCACY MOVEMENT:
Are holding their Annual Summer Scheme from July 1st to 17th July 2003 in St. Michael's Parish Centre, 99 Irish Street. The scheme is open to parents with physical disabilities and mental health issues and their children. For more information, contact Imelda or Fiona at 44616727.
MARIE CURIE CENTRE:
The Marie Curie Centre in Downpatrick urgently require volunteers to assist in the day therapy service that was launched earlier this year. Marie Curie is dedicated to the care of people affected by cancer and the enhancement of their quality of life. Drivers are urgently required to transport patients to and from the centre in Downpatrick. Volunteers are also required to assist in a range of activities with patients including arts, crafts and outings. For more information contact Sinead at the Volunteer Bureau on 44619122.
PRE -MARRIAGE COURSE:

PHILLIP COURSE:
For young people aged 17 - 35 is being held on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June in Youthcom, 68 Berry Street, Belfast. The weekend is being led by members of the John the Baptist Community from Belfast and Italy and is designed for young people who have questions, issues and hopes for knowing God in a deeper way. There will be music, games, dynamic presentations and a Mass for young people on the Sunday. Course runs from 10am - 6pm each day with soup/sandwiches & barbeque provided, cost £5.
