DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES:
The Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place under the leadership of Bishop Patrick Walsh from July 11th - 16th. Fare, inclusive of all charges and including return flight from Belfast to Lourdes and full board in hotels in Lourdes, is: 5 nights July 11th - 16th - £360, 7 nights (Hotel Jeanne D'Arc only) July 10th- 17th £400, Coach for youth helpers, July 7th - 18th £285. CHOICE WEEKEND:
If you are single (i.e. have never been married) and are in your 20's or 30's, why not come along to a Choice Weekend? Take time to look at yourself, your relationship with others and with God in the company of other young adults. The next Choice Weekend is on 1st & 2nd March. BARNARDOS:
Barnardo's is seeking to recruit people who can offer the stability of a homely environment to young adults (aged 16 +) who are leaving care. This new service offers an extensive level of support, a Project Worker to help and support both the young adult and placement provider, full training and a fee for the placement provider. We would like to hear from people from all walks of life, couples, single or retired persons, who have a spare room and who are interested in finding out more about this exciting new opportunity. We are particularly interested in hearing from people in the Greater Belfast & County Down areas. YOUTH MINISTRY CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME:
If you are interested in developing your skills in youth ministry, whether as youth worker, teacher, priest or chaplain, you are invited to participate in a youth ministry certificate programme being organised for those in youth ministry in the diocese. LENTEN TALKS:
At St. Clement's Retreat Centre over six Tuesdays of Lent. The first talk is by Anne Thurston "Journeying into the Wilderness" on Tuesday March 11th at 7.30pm. The series will deal with pain and faith in our personal journeys, in the brokenness of the Church, in broken relationships, in divided communities, in adult faith, in sufferings of our lives.
