EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
Every Saturday in St. Patrick's Church from 12 noon to 1pm.

KILLOUGH ROAD CEMETERY:
There are areas at the Cemetery for the disposal of rubbish: the dump, the skip and behind the screen in the left hand corner of the Cemetery. Please place rubbish in one of these areas. DO NOT DUMP RUBBISH AT THE GATES OR IN ANY OTHER UNAUTHORISED AREA OF THE CEMETERY.



MARIE CURIE CENTRE:
The Marie Curie Centre in Downpatrick urgently require volunteers to assist in the day therapy service that was launched earlier this year. Marie Curie is dedicated to the care of people affected by cancer and the enhancement of their quality of life. Drivers are urgently required to transport patients to and from the centre in Downpatrick. Volunteers are also required to assist in a range of activities with patients including arts, crafts and outings. For more information contact Sinead at the Volunteer Bureau on 44619122.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL:
SUMMER PARTY for Senior Citizens will be held on Wednesday 13th August in Abbey Lodge Hotel, Downpatrick. Meal at 6pm. Transport available if required. Anyone who has not got a ticket and would like to go, please phone 44614194 leaving name and address.

LOUGH DERG:
One Day Retreats, places are still available on the following days:

PATRICIAN YOUTH CENTRE:
O'CONNOR SCHOOL OF IRISH DANCING: Irish Dancing Classes resume in the Youth Centre on Thursday 4th September at 3pm. Beginners and advanced dancers are welcome to attend.
BALLET STEPS SCHOOL OF BALLET:
Ballet Classes begin on Saturday 6th September and will take place every Saturday from 9.30am - 4.30pm. New Members are welcome to enrol, age three and half years and upwards.

BELARUSSIAN CHERNOYBL CHILDREN'S CHARITY:
A Church Door Collection will be taken up outside all the Churches in the Parish for the Belarussian Chernoybl Children's Charity on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August. The charity invite children between the ages of 7 and 12 years to South Down for a three week medical respite and holiday. The children stay with local families and for the three weeks are amalgamated into the community.

CHANGE OF PRIESTS:
Fr. John McCallum has been appointed Parish Priest of Kilcoo and Fr. Thomas McDermott has been appointed Curate in Churchtown, Co. Cork. They will be leaving Downpatrick the week after next. We thank them most sincerely for their work in Downpatrick during the past two years and we wish them well in their new parishes. In their place we welcome Fr. Patrick Sheehan, formerly Hospital Chaplain in Belfast and Fr. George McLaverty formerly of Saul Parish.
